temping/charting question

Sorry I'm bombarding this folder.

I was going to start taking my temp this month. Can I use a regular thermometer?

I went to Walgreens at lunch and they had a thermometer in the family planning area. The tag on the self said Basal Body Thermometer but it was clearly just a regular thermometer with a kid on it.

If you can get a basal, I would definitely do that.  They are more sensitive than regular thermometers, which of course is good for charting.

I first tried one I got at Target, but I wasn't thrilled with it.  Not that it didn't take the temp fine because it did.  But it didn't store the last temp taken, and sometimes I would wake up really early and then take the temp, and doze back off.  When I would wake up, I could just turn the thermometer on again and record the temp.

This is the one I have: (IDK how to link on a word on this forum yet!)
